Delta Flight Horror: Engine Explodes Mid-Air with 235 On Board – Watch Terrifying Video

Angeles (The Uttam Hindu): A few minutes after takeoff, the engine of a Delta Airlines flight in Los Angeles, USA caught fire in the air, causing panic among the passengers. The pilot immediately declared 'Mayday' and made a safe emergency landing of the plane, saving the lives of all 235 people on board the plane.

According to RT news, Delta Airlines flight DL-446 (Boeing 767-400) took off from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) to Atlanta. As the plane gained altitude, strong sparks and flames started coming out of its left engine. People present on the ground captured this horrifying scene on their cameras, the videos of which are now going viral on social media.

As soon as the pilot got information about the fire in the engine, he immediately informed the Air Traffic Control (ATC) and declared an emergency 'Mayday'. After this, the plane was carefully turned back towards Los Angeles Airport. The emergency fire and rescue team was already deployed on the runway. As soon as the plane landed, the team immediately extinguished the fire in the engine.

Due to the pilot's alertness and quick action, all 226 passengers and 9 crew members on board the plane were saved safely. No one was injured in this incident.

The reason behind the fire in the plane's engine is not yet clear. The US regulatory body Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has started investigating the incident. According to the report, this plane is about 25 years old and this is the second major incident of technical failure in the engine with Delta Airlines this year
