Tarn Taran (The Uttam Hindu): The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Punjab has suffered another major setback. His sudden arrest has created a stir in Punjab politics.
This arrest has been made in the famous 'Usma scandal' case of 2013. At that time, a case was registered under SC/ST Act against 11 people including Manjinder Singh Lalpura after a victim accused them of misbehavior. The hearing of this case was held in Tarn Taran court on Wednesday.
Today, 9 accused including MLA Manjinder Singh were presented in the court. After the hearing, the court declared them guilty and ordered them to be taken into judicial custody. The next hearing of the case will be on September 12, in which the sentence can be announced.
