Big Breaking: Giani Harpreet Singh to Head Recruitment Committee, Bibi Satwant Kaur Assigned New Role by SAD Chief

Amritsar (The Uttam Hindu): The Shiromani Akali Dal’s recruitment committee convened a key meeting at Gurdwara Burj Akali Phula Singh attended by five committee members along with a large gathering of delegates and supporters including former Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh, Bibi Satwant Kaur, Bhai Gobind Singh Longowal, Manpreet Singh Ayali and Gurpartap Singh Wadala.

During the session, Baba Sarabjot Singh Bedi proposed the name of Giani Harpreet Singh for the post of party president which was seconded by Bhai Gobind Singh Longowal and Sucha Singh Chhotepur. With no other names proposed the House unanimously elected Giani Harpreet Singh as President amid loud cheers from the attendees.

As part of the party’s new structure, a Panthic Council has also been formed with Bibi Satwant Kaur appointed as its chairperson marking a significant organisational reshuffle within the Shiromani Akali Dal.
