Big move after Pahalgam attack: 48 tourist spots shut down in Jammu and Kashmir
Srinagar (The Uttam Hindu): After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, a major action by security agencies is going on across the state. Amidst the extensive search operations going on against the terrorists, the Jammu and Kashmir government has taken a big decision to temporarily close 48 tourist places in the valley.

Officials said that out of 87 tourist places in the valley, 48 tourist movement will be banned for the time being. This step has been taken to ensure the safety of tourists in sensitive areas.

Budgam: Yusmarg, Tousimaidan, Doodhpathri
Kulgam: Aharbal, Kausarnag
Kupwara: Bangus, Kariwan Diver, Chandigam
Handwara: Bangus Valley
Sopore: Wular/Watlab, Rampora and Rajpora, Cherhar, Mundiz-Hamam-Markut Waterfall, Khampu, Bosni, Vizitop
Anantnag: Sun Temple Khiribal, Verinag Garden, Sinthan Top, Margantop, Aqad Park
Baramulla: Habba Khatoon Point, Babareshi Tangmarg, Ringawali Tangmarg, Gogaldara Tangmarg, Baderkot Tangmarg, Shrunj Waterfall, Commandpost Uri, Nambalan Waterfall, Eco Park Khadniar
Pulwama: Sangarwani

The government has clarified that these places will be reopened when the security situation becomes normal. At the same time, tourists will continue to be allowed to visit other tourist destinations for the time being.
