Two Fires, One City: Delhi Faces Devastating Blazes in CCS Building and Dwarka
New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): A devastating fire broke out in the CCS building located on Janpath Road in New Delhi on Saturday afternoon. The incident prompted an immediate response from the Delhi Fire Services, with around 13 fire tenders rushing to the spot to douse the flames. According to officials, the fire was being brought under control, and all workers were safely evacuated from the site.
In a separate incident, a massive fire engulfed an apartment building in Delhi's Dwarka area on Tuesday, claiming the lives of three family members. The fire broke out on the sixth floor of the building, and in a desperate bid to escape, two children, a 10-year-old boy and girl, jumped from the balcony and succumbed to their injuries. Their father, 35-year-old Yash Yadav, also jumped from the building and died. The fire department deployed eight fire engines and a sky lift to rescue trapped people and douse the flames. The incident has raised concerns about fire safety measures in the building, and an investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of the fire.
