Prayagraj (The Uttam Hindu): Chaitra Navratri is considered extremely important in Hinduism. During this time, special prayers are offered to the nine forms of the Mother Goddess. This year, Chaitra Navratri begins on the 19th, and the Hindu New Year also begins on the same day. This day is therefore very special. Pandit Shipra Sachdev from Prayagraj has a special conversation about this.

Pandit Shipra Sachdev explained that the auspicious time for Kalash Sthapana is from 6:50 am to 7:52 am. Additionally, the Abhijit Muhurta will be from 12:05 pm to 12:50 pm. These are the only two auspicious times this time, so if you want to perform Kalash Sthapana, it would be best to do so during these times. Kalash Sthapana holds special significance, so it should be performed with complete faith and devotion.

He said that this time, Mother Goddess is arriving in a palanquin. When you install the Kalash, it should include your faith, devotion, and a cherished wish. At the time of installation, you can take nine cloves, tie them together in a thread to form a garland, and offer it around the Mother Goddess's neck on the first day. This will ensure that the Mother Goddess's full and good blessings remain upon you.

Pandit Shipra said that you can use a gold, silver, or any other metal pot for the Kalash, but a clay pot is considered the most auspicious. First, fill it with water, add a little Ganga water, a lump of turmeric, a betel nut, two cloves, and two cardamoms. You can also add a coin, some unbroken rice grains, and a flower. After this, you can place five or seven mango leaves or Ashoka leaves.

After this, place a lamp on top of the Kalash and fill it with rice. Then, tie a coconut tightly in a red cloth and place it on top of the Kalash. After this entire process, dedicate the Kalash at the feet of the Mother Goddess.
