New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): The Ministry of External Affairs and the Ministry of Defense held a joint press conference on Saturday on Operation Sindoor. On the ongoing tension with Pakistan, military officials said that Udhampur, Pathankot, Adampur and Bhuj airbases have been damaged. Apart from this, Pakistan fired missiles and hospitals and schools were targeted. Wing Commander Vyomika Singh showed photos of Air Force Station Sirsa and Air Force Station Suratgarh on Saturday morning and said that they are safe.

Colonel Sophia Qureshi said, "The Pakistani army is continuously attacking the western borders, it has used drones, long-range weapons, combat weapons and fighter jets to attack Indian military bases. India foiled many threats, but Pakistan tried to infiltrate through air in more than 26 places." He further said, "Pakistan used high-speed missiles at 1:40 am to target the Air Force base in Punjab. They also attacked health facilities and schools."

Colonel Sofia Qureshi said, "After these actions of Pakistan, immediate retaliatory action was taken. Pak military bases at Rafiki, Murid, Chaklala, Rehmyar Khan were attacked with precision weapons and fighter jets. Sialkot airbase was also targeted. We ensured minimum collateral damage. Pakistan misused the international air route by taking the cover of civilian aircraft." Wing Commander Vyomika Singh said during the press conference, "In a quick and well-planned response, the Indian armed forces carried out precision attacks only on identified military targets. Pakistan has continuously tried to run a malicious misinformation campaign with claims of destroying the Indian S-400 system, airports in Surat and Sirsa. India categorically rejects these false claims being spread by Pakistan."

Wing Commander Vyomika Singh said, "There were attempts of aerial intrusion and multiple harassing attacks at more than 26 locations from Srinagar to Nalia on the International Border and the Line of Control. The Indian Armed Forces successfully neutralized these threats and most of the vectors. However, there was limited damage to equipment and personnel at Indian Air Force stations in Udhampur, Pathankot, Adampur and Bhuj. After this, several high-speed missile attacks were also seen on several air bases in Punjab after 1:40 am." Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri described Pakistan's actions as escalating tension. He said that in the last 2-3 press briefings, it was told that Pakistani activities are increasing tension. They are provoking us. In response, India adopted a defensive attitude. This morning again Pakistan took provocative and tension-increasing action. Pakistan claimed to have destroyed Adampur, Suratpur, S-400, Nagrota ammunition center, Brahmos facility. We reject it. Heavy shelling from cannons and mortars is continuing in Kupwara, Baramulla, Poonch, Rajouri and Akhnoor. Foreign Secretary Misri also warned against fake news. He said that Pakistan's false claims have been exposed. Pakistani government agencies are claiming attacks and destruction. They are saying that military facilities have been destroyed, all this is a lie. Claims have been made that major attacks were made on power and infrastructure systems, all this is a lie. Pakistan is continuously targeting civilians and civilian buildings. It is trying to create communal dispute in India. Civilians are being killed in Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab, buildings are being damaged. An administrative officer is being killed in Jammu and Kashmir. At present, India's military bases are safe.
