New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): The increasing pace of corona across the country has rung alarm bells. The number of active cases in the country has crossed 5 thousand. Corona virus is increasing the concern of people in Noida, UP, adjacent to Delhi. 32 new cases have been registered in the last 24 hours. The total number of patients in the district has reached 190. In view of the pace of corona, section-163 has been imposed in the district, which will be effective from June 7 to June 9. During this time, no kind of protest will be allowed. No kind of procession will be taken out. 5 or more people cannot gather together at one place without permission.
According to the data released by the Union Health Ministry on Friday, the number of active cases in the country has crossed 5 thousand. Kerala is the worst affected. It is followed by Gujarat, West Bengal and then Delhi. In view of the increasing cases, mock drills are being conducted to check facility-level preparedness for COVID-19. All states have been instructed to ensure availability of oxygen, isolation beds, ventilators and essential medicines. Four people have also died in the last 24 hours. In most cases, the infected are being treated at home. A total of 55 deaths have occurred since January this year.
The health department says that wear a mask, maintain social distance and follow rules like washing hands from time to time. Apart from this, the health department has also emphasized on increasing covid testing and vaccination. So that the situation can be controlled. The health department has decided to increase the scope of investigation. Now arrangements for testing are also being made at primary and community health centers.
