Bulldozers Roll Again in Delhi: AAP Slams DDA for Targeting Poor
New Delhi(The Uttam Hindu): A tragic road accident unfolded on Wednesday morning along the Dausa-Manoharpur highway in Rajasthan, claiming the lives of five individuals, including both the bride and groom, while leaving six others from the wedding party seriously injured. The collision created chaos in the area and led to a significant traffic jam.
The incident took place near Bhatkabass village in the Raisar region of Jaipur Rural. Reports indicate that a speeding Canter truck collided head-on with a Toofan jeep that was transporting wedding guests back to Madhya Pradesh. The force of the impact was so intense that the jeep was utterly crushed, trapping many passengers inside.
Upon receiving the distress call, officers from the Raisar police station quickly arrived at the scene and initiated rescue efforts with assistance from local residents. The injured were swiftly taken to NIMS Hospital, where their conditions are reported to be critical. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examinations, and authorities are working to identify the deceased.
Eyewitnesses described the crash as incredibly violent, with rescuers needing to use cutters to free trapped individuals. The highway remained blocked for several hours as police worked to clear the wreckage.
