Delhi Horror: Minor Kills 3-Year-Old Boy After Throwing Him Off Cliff and Hitting with Stone
New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Delhi Police has made a significant disclosure in the case of the murder of an innocent child in the Anand Parvat area of the national capital. Police stated that a 15-year-old minor committed the crime out of revenge.
According to reports, the accused minor, out of revenge, kidnapped and brutally assaulted a three-year-old child. He then pushed the child off a 30-foot cliff in Ramjas Park and attacked him with stones, leaving him seriously injured.
According to Delhi Police, on September 17, the deceased's mother filed a complaint at the Anand Parvat police station, stating that her 4-year-old son, Harsh, was playing near their home after returning from tuition at 6:30 p.m. Shortly thereafter, he suddenly disappeared. Given the seriousness of the matter, FIR No. 525/25 was registered at the Anand Parvat police station under Section 137(2) of the IPC and an investigation was initiated.
Given the gravity of the crime, a special team was formed. During the investigation, CCTV footage was examined, showing the accused with the child. The victim's mother identified the accused as a 15-year-old neighbor. The team subsequently arrested him from his home. During extensive interrogation, the accused confessed to having studied until the 10th grade and being a school dropout. The accused and the victim's families share a rented house and operate shops there. The two families had been feuding due to a long-standing feud.
According to police, on the afternoon of September 17th, the accused stole the landlord's motorcycle and abandoned it in another area. The victim's mother informed the landlord of the incident. Angered by this, the accused's father scolded and beat him. Seeking revenge, the accused lured Harsh, who had just returned from tuition at 6:30 pm, into a wooded area of Ramjas Park. There, the accused pushed the child off a 30-foot cliff, causing him to fall into the bushes below.
During interrogation, it was also revealed that the accused had struck the child with a stone with the intent to kill him. He then fled, leaving the child injured at the scene. Based on the accused's statement, the child was recovered from the scene in critical condition and admitted to Lady Hardinge Medical College Hospital, where he was admitted to the ICU. However, the child died on Saturday, following which Section 109(1) of the CrPC (murder) was added to the case.
