Trump Claims to Have Ended Seven Global Wars; Seeks Nobel Peace Prize for Gaza-Israel Ceasefire
New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Former U.S. President Donald Trump once again highlighted his global achievements, claiming that during his presidency, he ended seven “endless” wars around the world, and now, with the Gaza-Israel ceasefire, an eighth peace phase has begun.
Speaking during a Cabinet meeting at the White House on Thursday, Trump asserted, “We resolved seven wars or major conflicts, and now this is the eighth ceasefire agreement. I thought the biggest war would be Russia-Ukraine, but they are losing thousands of people every week. That war should never have happened — if I were president, it wouldn’t have.”
Trump claimed that within just seven months, his administration ended several long-standing wars — some lasting over three decades. He listed conflicts such as Cambodia-Thailand, Serbia, Congo-Rwanda, Pakistan-India, Israel-Iran, Egypt-Ethiopia, and Armenia-Azerbaijan as examples of disputes settled under his leadership.
On India-Pakistan relations, Trump said, “Think about India and Pakistan — I stopped their war through trade. Both countries wanted business, and I respect both their leaders greatly.” Concluding his remarks, Trump said he deserved the Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts. “I ended seven wars, and now with the Gaza-Israel ceasefire, this is the eighth. I should be honored with the Nobel Prize,” he stated confidently.
