Gangrape in the premises of a government hospital, four boys brutally raped two minor girls

Ranchi (The Uttam Hindu): A sensational incident has come to light in Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand. Two minor girls have been gang-raped in the premises of Sadar Hospital located in the heart of the city. This incident has created panic among the administrative staff. The police took immediate action and registered a case under the POCSO Act and arrested four accused.

This heinous incident took place in the staff quarters of Sadar Hospital located in Lower Bazaar police station area of ​​Ranchi. According to the police, the four boys lured the two girls and took them to a room in the staff quarters. It is being told that the girls already knew the accused. In the room, the boys gang-raped the two girls one by one. Among the arrested accused, two are adults, while two are minors. Preparations are being made to send the minor accused to a juvenile home.

According to the police, the two girls were returning after watching the Saraswati Puja immersion procession. On the way, they met four boys, some of whom the girls already knew. The boys lured the girls into talking and took them to the staff quarters of Sadar Hospital, where this heinous crime was committed.

The incident came to light when some security personnel noticed suspicious activity in the staff quarters. Seeing the security personnel, two boys started running away, who were caught on the spot. The boys who were caught informed about the presence of girls and other boys in the room. After this, the security personnel informed the Lower Bazaar police station. The police reached the spot and arrested all the accused.

This is not the first time that a rape incident has taken place in a government hospital in Ranchi. In January 2025, a case of rape of a girl was also reported in the state's largest hospital RIMS. In that incident, a security guard posted in RIMS raped a girl who had come to the hospital for treatment. At present, the police is investigating the case thoroughly and interrogation of the arrested accused is going on.
