High-Voltage Shock Claims Four Lives in Ghazipur as Bamboo Strikes Power Line During Worship Preparations

Ghazipur (The Uttam Hindu): A major accident occurred on Wednesday morning during the preparations for Kashidas Baba's worship in Narwar village of Mardah police station area of ​​Ghazipur district. While placing bamboo at the place of worship, the bamboo touched the high tension wire, due to which current spread. Four people died on the spot in the accident, while three people were seriously burnt. All the burnt people have been admitted to Fatima Hospital in Mau.

According to local information, preparations were going on for Kashidas Baba's worship in the village. Bamboos were being planted for the puja pandal, when the bamboos came in contact with the high tension line passing overhead. As soon as the current spread, there was chaos at the spot and seven people fell unconscious.

Chhotelal Yadav (35), constable Ravindra Yadav alias Kallu (29), Ajay Yadav (23) and Aman Yadav (19) died in the accident. All the deceased were residents of Narwar village. The deceased Ravindra Yadav was a constable in the UP Police and was currently posted in Tanda, Ambedkar Nagar. He had come home on leave to attend the Puja. Ajay Yadav was his younger brother.

The injured have been identified as Abhirik Yadav, Santosh Yadav and Jitendra Yadav. All of them are being treated at Fatima Hospital in Mau. As soon as the news of the incident was received, a wave of mourning spread in the village. Senior Samajwadi Party leader Shivpal Singh Yadav was also expected to attend this program, but due to the accident the atmosphere became gloomy.
