If India Isn't Rolling Out the Red Carpet Amidst the India-Pakistan Conflict, Why Is America Playing the Host?

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): There is a famous saying 'Whether you like it or not, I am your guest', something similar is happening with America amidst the ongoing conflict between India and Pakistan and the ceasefire implemented by mutual consent between the two countries. Like an uninvited guest, it is patting its back on the ceasefire implemented by mutual consent between the two countries.

However, its one-sided claim that Pakistan requested it to stop the war and convince India is true. But, India negotiated with it for a ceasefire, this could not be confirmed either by the Indian Foreign Ministry or in the PM's address, meaning that America, whether intentionally or not, tried to become a mediator between India and Pakistan's mutual matters.

Actually, America is trying to regain its lost reputation in the world of being a leader. It knows that now no country in the world is ready to accept its mediation. In such a situation, it reached the place of ceasefire between India and Pakistan without being invited or informed. However, PM Narendra Modi made it clear in his speech that the talks between India and Pakistan will be only about ending terrorism and POK. He did not talk about anyone's mediation and also gave a message to the world that he does not need to bring anyone into this. But, America has always had a soft corner for Pakistan and it has been supporting it secretly.

Even Pakistani leaders have accepted that terrorists are nurtured in Pakistan on US funding. However, America itself has been a victim of the attacks of those terrorists. America also wants background control over Pakistan's nuclear weapons because it feels that the way Pakistan keeps threatening nuclear attacks on every issue, it may prove harmful for America as well.

At the same time, America has been more interested in Pakistan's military bases, airbases and nuclear weapons than in India. But, China and other Muslim countries have put so much pressure on Pakistan that America has not been able to achieve anything in this.

At the time of announcement of ceasefire between India and Pakistan, India's Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri did not mention US mediation even once in his press conference and clearly said that India's DGMO held talks with Pakistan's DGMO and India announced ceasefire on its own terms. But, Trump was seen patting his own back from here. After this, once again it was told by the White House that America held talks with both the countries on ceasefire between Pakistan and India. Whereas, such a thing was never said by the Indian government. At the same time, when PM Modi's address to the nation was announced on May 12, just before that address, Donald Trump once again made such a claim, which was difficult for anyone to digest.

US President Donald Trump said, "We're going to do a lot of trade with you, let's stop it. If you stop it, we're doing trade. If you don't stop it, we're not going to do any trade. We're going to do a lot of trade with Pakistan, we're going to do a lot of trade with India. We're in talks with India right now, we're going to be in talks with Pakistan soon."

Patting himself on the back, he said, "We prevented (a) nuclear conflict. I think it could have been a very bad nuclear war. Millions of people could have died. That's why I am very proud of it."

He said, "My administration helped bring about a complete and immediate ceasefire between India and Pakistan, I think it was a lasting ceasefire, ending a dangerous conflict between two nations that had a lot of nuclear weapons and were attacking each other a lot and it looked like it was not going to stop. I am very proud to tell you that the leadership of India and Pakistan was firm, powerful, but also had the strength, wisdom and patience to fully know and understand the gravity of the situation."

Trump also claimed that the ceasefire between Pakistan and India was agreed upon through US mediation.

There is a reason behind this. On the day India-Pakistan agreed on ceasefire, the same night while addressing the people of Pakistan, Pakistan's Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif thanked US President Donald Trump, Chinese President Xi Jinping, heads of Qatar, Dubai, Turkey for making this ceasefire possible due to their efforts. Then Pakistan's Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif's tongue was trembling and fear was clearly visible on his face. It was clear that he was afraid of India's retaliatory action. This gave the US President an opportunity to pat his back.

At present, the US, whose words are not being accepted by war-torn countries like Israel, Russia and Ukraine, has started trying to revive its tarnished image of being a leader in the world by talking of mediation between India and Pakistan. Whereas, from the day of ceasefire, from India's foreign secretary to PM Modi's address to the nation, the US mediation was never accepted by India and on the contrary, PM Modi definitely gave the message to the world that now the talks between India and Pakistan will be only and only on the elimination of terrorism and POK. That is, India will not tolerate anyone's mediation on the negotiating table.

Actually, we have to understand why this was an opportunity in a disaster for America. America has been more interested in Pakistan's military bases, airbases and nuclear weapons than India. It has tried to use Pakistan's military bases and airbases many times before. Pakistan has been avoiding this due to pressure from countries like Afghanistan and China, the echo of which has been heard many times in the Parliament of Pakistan. But this time the situation seems different. Pakistan has been badly beaten by India, after which Pakistan had to plead before it. At the same time, America also seems to be getting the right opportunity to take control of some of Pakistan's military bases and airbases.

America has been trying to control Pakistan's nuclear weapons for a long time so that it can use them for its own benefit. That is, America itself has been afraid of Pakistan's nuclear weapons and it has always thought of controlling them through the backdoor. This is the reason that as soon as Pakistan called America pleading for a ceasefire, it understood that this is the right time when Pakistan can be supported on these conditions and along with that it can get a chance to once again polish its fading image of being a leader in front of the world.

But the way India did not show any interest in the US President's claims every time, made Donald Trump a laughing stock in front of the world and the truth behind Pakistan's terrorism was revealed and the shambles of its rulers was confirmed due to the valour of the Indian Army.
