India's BrahMos Missile Took Down AWACS, Admits Former Pakistani Air Marshal
New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu)- Pakistan, which is claiming that there was no damage due to India's Operation Sindoor, has been exposed once again. Now Pakistan's former Air Marshal Masood Akhtar has exposed it. Pakistan's former Air Marshal (retired) Masood Akhtar has admitted on camera that Pakistan's Airborne Warning and Control System aircraft has suffered a lot of damage in India's air strike.
In a TV interview, Akhtar said, "On the morning of May 10, the airbase was attacked. Four Brahmos missiles came over that base. The pilots first ran to secure their ships." The former Air Marshal said that although he is not sure whether these missiles were surface-to-surface or air-to-surface, but they were Brahmos missiles. He said, "The first came and the second came, then the third and then the fourth came which hit the hangar in Bholari, where our AWACS aircraft was parked. It was damaged in this attack." This video of Masood has gone viral on social media, exposing Pakistan's false claims. AWACS is capable of detecting aircraft, ships, vehicles, missiles and other incoming projectiles at long distances. It also helps operators in the sky and on the ground to identify the threat, assess it and then retaliate.
To avenge the Pahalgam terror attack, India targeted terrorist camps in Pakistan and PoK on the night of 6-7 May. This included the terror camps of Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba which were operating for several decades. More than 100 terrorists were killed in this operation. After this, Pakistan carried out drone attacks to target Indian military bases and others, in response to which India targeted Pakistani airbases and their radar stations.
