Last Warning to Pakistanis in India: Leave Today or Prepare for Action!

Update: 2025-04-27 04:29 GMT

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): After the Pahalgam terrorist attack, India has taken strict measures against Pakistan. Along with withdrawing from the Indus Waters Treaty, India has also cancelled the visas of Pakistani citizens. The government has clearly stated that Pakistani nationals currently in India have until today, April 27, to leave the country.

Following a Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) meeting, the Indian government decided that short-term visas issued to Pakistani citizens will be considered invalid from April 27 onwards. Under this decision, state governments are identifying Pakistani citizens in their respective regions and initiating the process to send them back.

Meanwhile, Indian citizens stranded in Pakistan are returning home rapidly. In the past three days, more than 450 Indians have returned via the Attari-Wagah border. Additionally, 23 Indian staff members working in broadcasting for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) have also returned.

Appeal from Delhi Government

Delhi's Home Minister, Ashish Sood, has urged residents to inform the police immediately if any Pakistani citizen is found residing in their area. Pakistani citizens in India on medical visas have been allowed to stay until April 29.
