Madhya Pradesh High Court Orders FIR Against Minister Vijay Shah Over Remarks on Colonel Sofia Qureshi
Bhopal (The Uttam Hindu): Troubles have increased for Madhya Pradesh government minister Kunwar Vijay Shah. The Madhya Pradesh High Court has ordered to register an FIR against minister Vijay Shah in the case of his alleged objectionable remarks against Indian Army officer Colonel Sofia Qureshi.
Colonel Sofia Qureshi is the Indian Army officer who recently gave detailed information to the media about 'Operation Sindoor' carried out by the Indian Army against Pakistan. The Madhya Pradesh High Court took suo motu cognizance of the comment of Minister Vijay Shah.
The division bench headed by Justice Atul Shridharan ordered the Madhya Pradesh Director General of Police (DGP) to immediately register an FIR against Minister Vijay Shah. The court also gave strict instructions to the state's Advocate General Prashant Singh and said that the FIR should be registered at all costs. The court also said that it will hear this case first thing tomorrow morning.
Meanwhile, politics has also heated up on this issue. Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee President Jitu Patwari has filed a complaint against Minister Kunwar Vijay Shah. He said, "We have lodged an FIR against Madhya Pradesh Minister Kunwar Vijay Shah. A minister from Madhya Pradesh has insulted army officers and sisters. If he is not dismissed within 24 hours, we will file an FIR against Vijay Shah in all the police stations of the country."
