Jodhpur (The Uttam Hindu): A shocking case of cheating a young man in the name of marriage has come to light in Jodhpur district of Rajasthan. Here a young man became a groom four times, the wedding procession came to his house and the mandap was also decorated, but he did not get a bride even once. The victim has now accused his own neighbors of cheating him of lakhs of rupees on the pretext of marriage and has appealed to the police for justice.

The case is from Jodhpur's Luni police station area. The victim, Vijendra, was not getting married, due to which he was lonely. His neighbors took advantage of this weakness of his. The neighbors offered to get him married and took money from him for this. Vijendra fell for their words, but he did not know that this was the beginning of a big fraud.

According to the victim, the accused arranged his four marriages one after the other, but each time his dream of becoming a groom remained unfulfilled. The first time, the baraat was held with great pomp and show, but the bride boarded the bus just before the rituals and fled. The second time, the marriage rituals were completed, but instead of leaving, the bride boarded a train and fled. In the third marriage, it seemed as if the limit of fraud was crossed, when in the middle of the chanting of mantras, the priest conducting the marriage also ran away along with the bride. When the fourth marriage was somehow completed, at the time of vidaai, the bride flatly refused to go with him, due to which the victim's hopes were shattered once again.

In these four failed marriages, Vijendra spent a total of Rs 3 lakh 85 thousand. When he realized that he had been cheated, he asked for his money back from his neighbors Pappu Bharti, Amar Bharti, Bhanwari Devi and Rakesh Bharti. At first, the neighbors promised to return the money in two months, but later, when he asked for the money, they threatened to implicate him in a fake case and send him to jail.

Finally, fed up, Vijendra has filed a complaint of fraud against his four neighbours in Luni police station. The police have registered a case and started investigation and Vijendra hopes that he will get justice soon.
