MHA Orders Cancellation of Paramilitary Leaves, Issues High Alert Across Borders
New Delhi (Uttam Hindu News): After the Indian Army's air strike on 9 terrorist camps in Pakistan, the central government has cancelled the leave of all paramilitary forces. The Home Ministry has instructed all security agencies to remain on high alert on the border. Preparations for mock drills have also begun across the country.
Home minister Amit Shah has instructed the DG of paramilitary forces to maintain complete vigilance on the border and be prepared to deal with any situation. After Operation Sindoor, besides Punjab and Jammu borders, additional security forces have been deployed on Rajasthan and Gujarat borders as well. Meanwhile, a red alert has been issued in Uttar Pradesh. DGP Prashant Kumar has put all the districts on high alert and has given instructions to enhance security.
According to sources, the Indian Army launched 'Operation Sindoor' at 1:28 pm, in which the bases of Hafiz Saeed in Lahore and Masood Azhar in Bahawalpur were targeted. Missile attacks were also carried out in Muzaffarabad, Dhamol, Kotli and Bagh sectors of PoK.
About 30 terrorists of Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed are confirmed to have been killed in these attacks. PM Narendra Modi monitored the operation throughout the night, while NSA Ajit Doval kept giving continuous updates. On the other hand, Pakistan PM Shahbaz Sharif called an emergency meeting late at night and said that Pakistan will respond.
