Operation Sindoor Aftermath: Pakistan's Skies Fall Silent After India's Airstrike
New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Pakistan's aviation sector is in a state of high alert following India's airstrike on terrorist camps in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. As a precautionary measure, Pakistan has reportedly cancelled all flights, with major airports imposing strict security protocols. Flight tracking data reveals a significant reduction in air traffic over Pakistan, with only a few flights operating. This drastic measure is believed to be a response to the Indian military's action, which targeted nine terrorist hideouts in Pakistan and PoK.
The Indian government has maintained that the airstrike was a focused and non-provocative response to the Pahalgam terrorist attack, which killed 25 Indian citizens and one Nepali citizen. India's action aims to hold accountable those responsible for the attack. The situation continues to unfold, with the international community closely monitoring developments. India's decisive action has sent a strong message to terrorist organizations operating in the region.
Flight tracking website 'Flightradar24' shows that there was silence in the Pakistani sky at 11 am on Wednesday. After India's airstrike, only a few planes were seen flying in the Pakistani sky. This included flights from Beijing to Dubai and Lahore to Karachi. Usually there is a lot of movement of planes in the Pakistani sky at this time in the morning. But, after 'Operation Sindoor', there is silence in the frightened Pakistani sky.
It is believed that after India's airstrike, Pakistan has cancelled all flights fearing some untoward incident. Earlier, Pakistan had decided to close its airspace for Indian planes. The Indian Army carried out precision strikes on nine terrorist hideouts in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) under 'Operation Sindoor'. It was reported that the Indian armed forces targeted terrorist infrastructure located in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir under 'Operation Sindoor', from where terrorist attacks against India have been planned. A total of nine locations have been targeted.
India said on the airstrike that our action has been focused, balanced and non-provocative. No Pakistani military installations have been targeted. India has shown remarkable restraint in target selection and methodology. These steps have been taken after the barbaric Pahalgam terrorist attack, in which 25 Indian citizens and a Nepali citizen were killed. We stand by our resolve that those responsible for this attack will be held accountable.
