Stormy Landing: Boeing 737 Plane's Dramatic Sway on Runway Captured on Video

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): A major accident was averted due to bad weather at Soekarno Hatta International Airport in Indonesia's Tangerang province. A Boeing-737 aircraft of Batik Airlines went out of control on the runway during landing, but due to the pilot's presence of mind, the plane was saved from crashing. A video of this incident is becoming increasingly viral on social media, seeing which people stopped breathing.

According to the information received, flight PK-LDJ was landing on the runway amid heavy rain and strong winds. During landing, due to a strong gust of wind, the plane suddenly tilted to one side, due to which one of its wings almost hit the runway.

Batik Airline's Corporate Communications Strategic Officer Danang Mandala Prihantoro confirmed the incident and said that while landing at the airport amid heavy rain, the plane swayed slightly due to strong winds on the runway, but the pilot immediately controlled the situation and made a safe landing. He also said that a team of engineers inspected the plane and no damage was found in it. The airline has said that the safety of passengers is its top priority.

This video is rapidly going viral on social media. In the video, it can be seen that when the plane reaches close to the runway, it tilts to its right for a few seconds. This incident reminds of the Air India Boeing-737 plane crash in Ahmedabad, India, in which 275 people lost their lives.
