New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): The Indian Embassy in Tehran has confirmed that three Indian nationals have gone missing in Iran, after their families informed the Embassy about their disappearance. The Embassy has taken up the matter with Iranian authorities and requested urgent efforts to trace the missing individuals and ensure their safety.

According to reports, the missing individuals are from Punjab and have been identified as Hushanpreet Singh from Sangrur, Jaspal Singh from SBS Nagar and Amritpal Singh from Hoshiarpur. They reportedly went missing on May 1, shortly after arriving in Tehran.

Their families allege that the men were kidnapped and that a travel agent, who took money from them, was involved in the plan. The kidnappers allegedly demanded a ransom and sent a video to the family showing the men tied with yellow ropes and with blood visible on their arms.

The Indian Embassy is working to ensure the safe return of the missing nationals and is keeping their families updated on the efforts being made. The Embassy has urged the Iranian authorities to take immediate action to trace the missing individuals and bring the perpetrators to justice.
