Punjab Police Arrest Two Pakistani Spies for Leaking Army Secrets

Amritsar (The Uttam Hindu): Punjab Police has busted a big espionage network and arrested two Pakistani agents. The arrested accused have been identified as Palak Sher Masih and Suraj Masih, who were passing on sensitive information related to the Indian Army to Pakistan's intelligence agency ISI.

Punjab police arrested two Pakistani spies, they were leaking confidential information of the army; had links with ISI: According to the police, both the accused used to send confidential photographs and information of military cantonments and air force bases in Amritsar to Pakistan. Preliminary investigation has revealed that they have links with Pakistani intelligence agents, which were established through Harpreet Singh alias Pittu alias Happy. Harpreet Singh alias Pittu is currently lodged in Amritsar Central Jail.

Sharing the information on Twitter (formerly Twitter), Punjab DGP said, “In a major anti-espionage operation, Amritsar Rural Police arrested the two on May 3. A case has been registered against them under the Official Secrets Act and an intensive investigation is underway.”

Police believe that more big revelations can be made during interrogation. Security agencies are now also trying to find out which areas this network had access to and which military bases' information has already been leaked. Punjab Police has said that it stands firmly with the Indian Army and any conspiracy against national security will be given a strong and quick response.
