London (The Uttam Hindu): A shocking news has come where a PhD student has been convicted for intoxicating and raping around 60 women between 2019 and 2024. Zhenhao Zhou, a 28 year old PhD student at University College, London used social media and dating apps to lure women to his flat where he would intoxicate their drinks and rape them later. He also filmed the video and blackmail them to prevent police complaints.

The police investigation revealed that Zhou would record his crimes and use the videos to blackmail his victims, threatening to share the footage online if they reported him. A search of his flat uncovered 58 rape videos and a "box of memories" containing items belonging to each of his victims.

Zhou was arrested in January 2024 after returning to the UK, despite being aware of the investigation against him. He was found guilty of 28 crimes, including rape, false imprisonment, and making indecent images. The court sentenced him to life imprisonment, with a minimum of 24 years behind bars.

This case highlights the dangers of online dating and social media, raising concerns about women's safety in the digital age. Zhou's crimes have sparked widespread outrage, with many calling for increased measures to protect women from predators.
