In a heartfelt message shared on social media, he expressed gratitude for the opportunity to represent India in the longest format of the game. He clarified that he will continue to play One Day Internationals (ODIs) for the national team.

Rohit's decision comes after a challenging period in his Test career. Over the past 19 innings, he managed only one half-century, leading to a significant dip in his batting average.
