On this day, along with Brahma and Indra, Sarvarth Siddhi Yog is also being formed. Worshipping Mahadev in these rare Yogs brings special fruits. According to the Panchang, on August 4, Brahma Muhurta will be from 4:20 am to 5:02 am, which is the best time for Jalabhishek. Apart from this, Abhijeet Muhurta will be from 2:42 pm to 3:36 pm and Amrit Kaal will be from 5:47 pm to 7:34 pm. Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga will be from 5:44 am to 9:12 pm, which is considered auspicious for work accomplishment and prosperity. Indra Yoga will be from 7:06 am to 7:25 am, which symbolizes confidence and success. Moon will transit in Scorpio in Anuradha and Chitra Nakshatra, which will make the puja more fruitful.

On the last Monday of Sawan, take a bath in the Brahma Muhurta in the morning and wear green or white clothes. Purify the place of worship with Gangajal and install the Shivling. Perform the Abhishek of Shivling with Panchamrit (milk, curd, honey, ghee, sugar) and Gangajal. After this, apply perfume to Bholenath. Chanting the mantra 'Om Namah Shivaya', offer Belpatra, Dhatura, Bhaang, Sandalwood, Akshat, black sesame, barley, wheat, sugar candy or jaggery, Abir-Bukka and then fruits and sweets. Performing Rudrabhishek is especially fruitful. Mahadev is also pleased by writing the name of Lord Shri Ramchandra on 108 or more Belpatra and offering it on Shivling. After the worship, reciting Shiv Chalisa, Mahamrityunjaya Mantra, Shivpanchakshar Mantra, Dwadash Jyotirlingani Strot is also especially fruitful. Aarti should be performed after this.
