Sonipat District Deputy Commissioner's PA Shashank Arrested Red Handed by Anti Corruption Team While Taking Bribe

Sonipat(The Uttam Hindu): The Anti Corruption team today arrested Deputy Commissioner Dr. Manoj Yadav's personal assistant (PA) Shashank Sharma posted in the Mini Secretariat District Deputy Commissioner's office red handed while taking a bribe of Rs 3 lakh 50 thousand.

According to the information, the accused PA Shashank Sharma had demanded a bribe of Rs 5 lakh from the complainant clerk in exchange for getting him posted as a registry clerk in Rai Tehsil. For this, the clerk first gave him Rs 1.5 lakh in cash but he was not posted there. The accused PA was demanding another Rs 3 lakh 50 thousand from the clerk. On this, the clerk complained about it to the Anti Corruption Bureau Sonipat team. Taking action in this case, the team today laid a trap to arrest the accused Shashank red handed. As soon as he deposited the amount, when the complainant went to pay the outstanding amount today, Shashank was arrested with a bribe of Rs 3.5 lakh.

The team is interrogating

ACB DSP Sombir Deshwal said that a clerk had complained to us that the Deputy Commissioner's PA Shashank was demanding a bribe from him in the name of getting a registry clerk appointed in Rai Tehsil. He was arrested today with a bribe of Rs 3.5 lakh. At present, the team is interrogating in this case.
