So Much Obscenity!’ MPs Outraged Over Ajaz Khan’s ‘House Arrest’ Show, Demand Immediate Ban!
Mumbai (The Uttam Hindu) : Former Bigg Boss 7 contestant Ejaz Khan is once again in trouble over his obscene show 'House Arrest'. In view of this, Maharashtra BJP Mahila Morcha president Chitra Wagh has demanded a ban on the reality series and said that it is a 'symbol of obscenity.' Chitra Wagh shared a clip of the show on X (formerly known as Twitter). In the clip, Eijaz is seen engaging the contestants in conversation and encouraging them to perform obscene scenes.
'Stop giving free rein to obscenity'
After this, a statement from Mahila Morcha president Chitra Wagh has come out, she said,'Stop giving free rein to obscenity in the name of freedom of expression! Ban Ejaz Khan's show 'House Arrest'.' Ejaz Khan, who calls himself an actor, has shown nothing but the height of obscenity through his show 'House Arrest'. Honorable Information and Broadcasting Minister @AshwiniVaishnaw ji, please immediately ban not only Ullu app but all the apps creating such content. Chitra Wagh further said, 'Clips of this show streamed on an app called Ullu are now openly going viral on social media and they are extremely disgusting. Such content is easily available on children's mobile phones.'
What did the Congress MP say?
Many other political leaders have also reacted since the clips of the show surfaced. Congress MP Priyanka Chaturvedi asked why the Center has not yet banned streaming apps. She said, 'I have raised this issue in the standing committee that why apps like Ullu App and Alt Balaji have not been banned by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
Appeal to the Union Minister to start making on the app
Chitra Wagh says, 'Such shows degrade cultural values and harm the psychological health of future generations. Such shows are not only an insult to our culture but also an attack on the moral health of our society. Also, BJP MP Dubey also took cognizance of the clip and assured that such content will not be allowed.
