New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): The Delhi High Court has refused to grant bail to a man accused of forcing his wife to do 'partner swapping'. Apart from this, he is also accused of posting his wife's picture on social media and offering sex with her.

The man whose bail plea was being heard by Justice Girish Kathpalia has been charged with rape, gang rape, physical abuse, cruelty and criminal fraud. In its order dated June 9, the court said, "The allegations made in the FIR are not typical of a marital dispute." The court also considered the woman's allegation that her brother-in-law sexually abused her by touching her inappropriately. When the woman complained about this to her husband, he asked her to ignore it. The court referred to the FIR which states, "The accused used to injure his wife's hand with a blade and then asked her to do kitchen work with the wound. He used to pressure her for wife swapping. For this, he also took her to a hotel where his friends molested her. She fled from there." The accused husband is also accused of creating a fake Instagram ID of his wife and sharing her pictures and offering sex to people in exchange for money. Terming the allegations as 'serious', the court said that the woman has also recorded her statement before the magistrate alleging rape and gang rape.

The court said, 'It has come to light that earlier when anticipatory bail was granted, the accused had a text chat with the victim, a copy of which is on record. It is also important to note that the accused took a new SIM and chatted with a fictitious name, but on investigation it was found that this SIM was registered in his name.'
