Tej Pratap Yadav Faces Major Setback as Lalu Prasad Expels Him from RJD; Also ousts him from the family
New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav has expelled his elder son and former minister Tej Pratap Yadav from the party. The party has decided to expel Tej Pratap for six years. This action comes after a controversial Facebook post by Tej Pratap Yadav recently showed him with a woman and claimed that they have been in a relationship for 12 years. However, Tej Pratap later said that the post was made from a hacked account and was a fake photo generated by artificial intelligence.
Lalu Prasad Yadav issued an official statement informing about the expulsion of his elder son from the party. He wrote, “Disregarding moral values in personal life weakens our collective struggle for social justice. The activities, public conduct and irresponsible behavior of the eldest son are not in accordance with our family values and traditions. Therefore, due to the above circumstances, I am removing him from the party and family. From now on, he will not have any kind of role in the party and the family. He is expelled from the party for 6 years. He is capable of seeing the good and bad and merits and demerits of his personal life. Whoever will have relations with him should take a decision with their own discretion. I have always been an advocate of public shame in public life. The obedient members of the family have adopted and followed this idea in public life. Thank you.”
It is worth noting that on Saturday evening, Tej Pratap Yadav shared a picture with a woman on his Facebook account and wrote that the woman is Anushka Yadav and they both know and love each other for the last 12 years. He also said that he wanted to tell about this for a long time, but was not able to find a proper way.
