The Family Man 3 actor Rohit Basfore found dead near Guwahati waterfall

Guwahati (The Uttam Hindu): Actor Rohit Basfore, who was set to appear in the upcoming web series 'The Family Man 3', was found dead at Garbhanga Waterfalls near Guwahati on Sunday afternoon, April 27. He had reportedly gone for a picnic with nine colleagues when he fell into the waterfall around 2 PM.

Officials from the Rani Police Outpost said they received the report at 4 PM and reached the spot within half an hour. A search and rescue operation was launched, and Basfore’s body was recovered by the SDRF team around 6:30 PM.

Initial police investigation suggests that the actor accidentally slipped and fell into the waterfall. Authorities have not found any immediate evidence of foul play. The body has been sent for a post-mortem examination and a further investigation is underway.

However, Basfore’s family has raised serious allegations, claiming foul play. They allege that Rohit was taken to a remote location, his phone was suspiciously switched off around noon, and pointed out that he did not know how to swim.

The incident is under detailed probe as authorities await the post-mortem report.
