Two Arrested in Tarn Taran with Weapons in Major Cross-Border Smuggling Crackdown
Tarn Taran (The Uttam Hindu): The Punjab Police have successfully dismantled a cross-border arms smuggling operation linked to Pakistan right in Tarn Taran. They've arrested two individuals tied to Pakistan's intelligence agency, ISI, and confiscated some advanced weaponry from them.
On Thursday, DGP Gaurav Yadav shared that, acting on a specific tip-off, the Tarn Taran police apprehended Surajpal Singh and Arshdeep Singh in Lakhna village. They found six high-tech pistols along with cartridges in their possession.
An FIR has been filed regarding this case, and the investigation is ongoing to track down all the associates of the accused. He emphasized that the Punjab Police are dedicated to dismantling such operations and ensuring the safety of the state.
