Landslide Strikes Yamunotri Route: Multiple Passengers Buried Under Debris

Uttarkashi (Uttam Hindu): A landslide has occurred suddenly near Nau Kanchi on the Yamunotri walking route. According to the information, there are reports of some people being buried under the debris. As soon as the information about the incident was received, NDRF, SDRF and local police administration have left for the spot.

Teams are moving towards the site of the incident with full preparation for relief and rescue work. District Disaster Management Officer Shardul Singh Gusain says that two to three people have been reported buried due to the landslide. On receiving the information, relief and rescue teams have been dispatched from Janki Chatti and other places. There is currently an atmosphere of chaos on the Yatra route. The administration has appealed to the people to maintain peace and stay in a safe place.
