New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Government telecom company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has once again given sleepless nights to private companies by launching a very cheap and powerful prepaid plan in the market. BSNL has introduced a plan with 2GB daily data for just Rs 199, which directly challenges Jio, Airtel and Vodafone-Idea.

The company not only shared the information about this plan through its official 'X' (formerly Twitter) handle, but also compared it with the expensive plans of private companies and said that customers are having to pay more than double the price.

According to the information released by BSNL, the price of this new plan is Rs 199 and it comes with a validity of 30 days. Customers can recharge this plan from any telecom circle of the country.

Validity: 30 days

Data: 2GB per day (total 60GB data)

Calling: Unlimited calling to any network across India

SMS: 100 SMS per day

Roaming: Free National Roaming

BSNL has explained in its post how its plan is much more beneficial than private companies. A major private company gives 2GB daily data for Rs 199, but its validity is only for 14 days. That is, BSNL is giving 16 days extra validity for the same price. Another big telecom company charges Rs 379 for a plan with 30 days validity and 2GB daily data, which is Rs 180 more expensive than BSNL's plan. At the same time, the third private company charges Rs 365 for a plan with 2GB daily data and in that too the validity is only 28 days. This move of BSNL is a big effort to attract those users who want long validity and more data at a low price.
