New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has taken major action against industrialist Anil Ambani and his company Reliance Communications (RCOM). Since 7 am on Saturday, CBI teams have been raiding Anil Ambani's residence and several premises related to RCOM. This action is being taken in a case of bank fraud, in which State Bank of India (SBI) is accused of a loss of more than Rs 2000 crore.

According to sources, the CBI has also filed an FIR against Reliance Communications and Anil Ambani in this case. Anil Ambani is said to be present at home with his family during the raid. The investigating agency is searching for documents and other evidence related to the company and its promoters.

The case is related to the loan taken by Reliance Communications, which the company failed to repay and was later declared a fraud. Based on the complaint of SBI, the CBI started the investigation and carried out this big raid this morning.

It is worth noting that Anil Ambani's troubles have increased continuously in recent days. Earlier on August 1, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) had summoned him for questioning in another alleged loan fraud case of ₹ 17,000 crore. Now this action of the CBI has further increased his troubles.
