Double impact of fog and rain: IndiGo issues travel advisory, flights including Jammu affected
New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Due to dense fog and adverse weather conditions, flight delays and cancellations have once again become a concern. Leading airline IndiGo on Thursday issued an important travel advisory to alert passengers.
Through its official social media platform X, IndiGo informed that low visibility and rainfall in the Jammu region have disrupted flight schedules. The airline said it is closely monitoring weather conditions and making every effort to ensure passengers reach their destinations safely and smoothly.
IndiGo advised passengers to regularly check the latest flight updates on its official website or mobile app before traveling. The airline also assured that its ground staff and customer support teams are fully available to assist passengers and minimize inconvenience.
Thanking passengers for their patience and cooperation, IndiGo expressed hope that weather conditions would improve soon and flight operations would return to normal.
Earlier, IndiGo had issued similar travel advisories for Ranchi and Bhubaneswar, where dense fog and poor visibility also impacted several flights. Passengers were advised to check flight status before heading to the airport to avoid unnecessary delays or inconvenience.
Every year during the winter season, fog poses a major challenge to air traffic in many parts of northern and eastern India. In such situations, airlines are compelled to adjust flight schedules while prioritizing passenger safety.
