Jio Adds Google Gemini 3 to Its Free 5G AI Offering for All Users

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Jio on Wednesday announced a major upgrade to its Jio Gemini offering. The Google Gemini 3 model has now been added under the Gemini Pro plan, which is available free of cost to all Jio’s unlimited 5G users. The new upgrade will be rolled out to all eligible customers starting Wednesday. Gemini 3 is Google’s latest AI model, aimed at delivering a more advanced and engaging experience.

Under the Jio Gemini offering, every eligible 5G Jio user gets free access to Google’s Gemini Pro plan for 18 months, valued at ₹35,100. Users can activate the plan instantly by opening the MyJio app and tapping on the “Claim Now” banner. Earlier, Google and Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai had said that the first seven days of Gemini shipping have been extremely exciting.

In a blog post, Pichai explained, “We are shipping Gemini at Google scale. This includes Gemini 3 in AI mode on Search, offering more complex reasoning and new dynamic experiences. This is the first time we are shipping Gemini in Search on day one. Gemini 3 is also coming to the Gemini app, AI Studio, Vertex AI for developers, and our new agentic development platform, Google Antigravity.”

He added that Gemini can now draft responses, prepare email summaries, and perform various actions using deep integration across Google apps. It is currently available on the web for Google AI Ultra subscribers in the United States.

Pichai also shared on X that users can give Gemini 3 anything, photos, PDFs, scribbles, and more and it can turn them into the output of their choice: a drawing can become a board game, a napkin sketch can transform into a full website, and a diagram can turn into an interactive lesson.
