OnePlus ‘Powerhouse’ Phone Launched: Massive 8300mAh Battery and 165Hz Display, India Launch on This Date

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Smartphone maker OnePlus has surprised its fans by launching its most powerful device, the OnePlus Ace 6T, in the Chinese market. The phone is making headlines mainly because of its massive battery. For Indian users, the good news is that this device will soon enter India as the OnePlus 15R.

Massive 8300mAh Battery – The Biggest Ever in a Mainstream Smartphone

The biggest highlight of this smartphone is its huge 8300mAh battery. This is the largest battery ever offered in a mainstream consumer smartphone. While most flagship phones today come with batteries up to 7500mAh, OnePlus has raised the benchmark with this massive jump. The phone also supports 100W fast charging.

Powerful Specifications

The Ace 6T (to be launched in India as the 15R) comes with strong hardware. It features a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate, ideal for gamers, and is protected by Oppo Crystal Shield Glass.

For performance, the device is powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor.

The camera setup includes a dual rear system with a 50MP main lens and an 8MP ultra-wide lens, while the front houses a 16MP selfie camera.

The phone runs ColorOS 16 based on Android 16.

India Launch Date and Expected Price

According to reports, the OnePlus 15R will launch in India on 17 December.

In China, the base variant (12GB+256GB) is priced at 2599 yuan (approx. ₹33,150), while the top variant (16GB+1TB) costs 3899 yuan (approx. ₹49,730).

Experts believe the India price may start below ₹50,000 to compete with other flagship phones.
