New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Tesla launched its popular electric SUV Model Y in the country with the launch of 'Experience Center' in Mumbai. Tesla said in an official statement that the company has prepared a big plan for development by creating a complete ecosystem around electric vehicles in India.

The car has features like Level-2 Adas along with 8 airbags for safety. The electric car has been introduced in India in two variants - Rear Wheel Drive and Long Range Rear Wheel Drive. The ex-showroom price of its RWD variant is Rs 60 lakh. At the same time, the price of the long range variant is Rs 68 lakh. Whereas, in the global market, this car also comes with an all wheel drive option. Booking of the car has been started. You can book the company's official by paying token money of Rs 22 thousand. Delivery of the car will start from October.
Tesla Models: Current Lineup and Discontinued Vehicles
After opening a showroom in Mumbai's Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) on Tuesday, Elon Musk-led Tesla is planning to open a showroom in Delhi soon. According to Tesla, it is planning to build four charging stations in New Delhi. It will have 16 superchargers, while there will be 15 destination chargers.

The company's EV ecosystem includes showrooms, service centers, delivery infrastructure, charging stations, logistics hubs and company offices. It will have 16 superchargers and 16 destination chargers. Tesla said that electric vehicles are just one part of its broader mission. The company's real goal is to create a sustainable ecosystem.
The company said that more than 8 million Tesla vehicles have been delivered in 55 countries around the world and more than 250 new features have been added through over-the-air (OTA) software updates in 2024 alone. The company plans to continue such updates to make cars smarter over time. The company already operates more than 7,000 supercharging stations with more than 70,000 superchargers worldwide. Giving a major boost to India's employment market, Tesla confirmed that it will rely entirely on local talent. It said, "Indian nationals will be appointed to lead the company's operations in the country, ensuring domestic leadership for a global brand."
