'Developed India Marathon' Organized at Sukhna Lake on National Youth Day
Chandigarh(The Uttam Hindu) : On the occasion of National Youth Day, the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and the Student Welfare Trust organized the 'Developed India Marathon' at Sukhna Lake, Chandigarh, with the aim of spreading the concept of a 'Developed India' to the masses. Over 1,500 students from various colleges and universities in Chandigarh enthusiastically participated in the marathon.
The Governor of Punjab, Shri Gulab Chand Kataria, was the chief guest at the event. He felicitated the winning students and urged the youth to adopt a healthy lifestyle and play an active role in nation-building.
The marathon was flagged off by Rajya Sabha MP Shri Satnam Singh Sandhu and ABVP Punjab State President Prof. Prashant Gautam. They said that such events instill discipline, patriotism, and positive energy in the youth and are instrumental in realizing the goal of a 'Developed India'.
The main sponsors of the event were Raj Malhotra IAS Academy and Vita, whose support made the successful organization of the program possible.
ABVP National Secretary Aditya Takiyar said that the students showed great enthusiasm throughout the event, and the atmosphere was filled with patriotism and discipline. He added that ABVP Chandigarh will continue to organize such events related to national interest and social service in the future.
