Gang war at Banga bus stand: 40 rounds fired, one killed, several injured
Nawanshahr (The Uttam Hindu) : Big news is coming from Nawanshahr. The news is that the bus stand was shaken by indiscriminate firing on Monday. One young man was killed and four others were injured in the firing. According to shopkeepers, two cars were chasing each other. One of them was a Scorpio. The young men in the second car chasing it fired 35-40 rounds as soon as they reached the Banga bus stand.
Although the motive for the incident was unknown at the time of writing, the firing was nothing short of a movie scene. Honey Bal, Sahil, Deepa, Sujal, and Rimple, who were in the Scorpio, were injured. All were admitted to Guru Nanak Mission Hospital in Banga. Seriously injured Rimple was referred to Ludhiana, but she has since died.
Police sources said the main victim, Honey, is the brother of Babbu Maan, who has a criminal background. They added that the attack appears to be linked to an old rivalry. An FIR has been registered against the accused, and police teams are examining CCTV footage and conducting raids to search for suspects. Immediately after the incident, checkpoints and patrol units in the surrounding area were also alerted.
