Mumbai (The Uttam Hindu): Dindoshi Sessions Court has imposed a fine of Rs 100 on Indian cricketer Prithvi Shaw for delaying his reply in the alleged assault case against social media influencer Sapna Gill. Sapna Gill's lawyer Ali Kashif Khan believes that this is a big message given by the court.

Lawyer Ali Kashif Khan told media, "We had complained against Prithvi Shaw and his group for assaulting our client. When the police did not register an FIR, we went to the Andheri Magistrate Court and demanded that they instruct them to register an FIR, but the court only ordered the police to investigate. So we challenged the order in the Sessions Court Dindoshi. Today, almost a year has passed, but no response has come from Prithvi Shaw in this matter."

He said, "The judge of the Sessions Court Dindoshi ordered Prithvi Shaw to file his reply several times. Since then, his lawyer has taken more than three dates to file his reply. On Wednesday, when his lawyer was asked to file his reply, he again asked for time on hearing which the judge ordered him to pay a fine of Rs 100. It is not a matter of a fine of Rs 1 or 100. This is a big message given by the court. The law is equal for everyone. Now Prithvi Shaw has been given the date of December 16 to file his reply." Ali Kashif Khan said, "I believe that time is being wasted by his lawyer.

This matter is being dragged. Maybe they don't have any answer. Our allegation is that the police is in cahoots with them." Let us tell you that in February 2023, there was a dispute between Sapna Gill and Prithvi Shaw over a selfie in a pub in Andheri. Sapna alleged that when her friend asked Shaw for a selfie, Shaw refused and snatched her phone and threw it away. Along with this, Sapna Gill also accused him of scuffle and molestation.
