Bihar NDA Celebrates Big Victory; PM Modi Waves His Signature Gamchha, Watch VIDEO

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given his first reaction after the NDA secured a massive lead in the Bihar Assembly election trends. He called the NDA’s victory a win for good governance and development. Across Bihar, supporters gathered in huge numbers, chanting loud “Modi-Modi” slogans, while PM Modi waving his signature gamchha became one of the memorable moments of his Muzaffarpur visit.

On Friday, Prime Minister Modi received a grand welcome in Muzaffarpur, where enthusiastic supporters gathered near the helipad as his helicopter landed. Overwhelmed by the large crowd despite the heat and humidity, PM Modi expressed gratitude by waving his Madhubani-print gamchha toward the people. The video shows him waving it for nearly 30 seconds before leaving for his rally in Chhapra. This is not the first time PM Modi has done this in Bihar — in August, after inaugurating the Aunta-Simariya bridge, he waved his gamchha to the crowd as well.

Reacting to NDA’s performance, PM Modi posted on social media platform X: “It is a victory of good governance. It is a victory of development. It is a victory of public welfare. It is a victory of social justice. I express my heartfelt gratitude to the people of Bihar for blessing the NDA with a historic and unprecedented mandate in the 2025 Assembly elections. This strong mandate inspires us to serve with greater dedication and work with renewed commitment for Bihar.”

He added, “The NDA has ensured all-round development in the state. People have given us a huge majority after seeing our track record and our vision for Bihar’s future. I congratulate Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and our NDA partners Chirag Paswan, Jitan Ram Manjhi and Upendra Kushwaha on this remarkable victory. The youth and women of Bihar will continue to receive better opportunities for a prosperous life.”
