Bike Rider Crushed to Death in Farrukhabad Hit-and-Run; Police Launch Probe

Farrukhabad (The Uttam Hindu): A tragic road accident took place on Sunday near Marahla village on the Etawah–Bareilly Highway in the Mohammadabad police station area of Farrukhabad, Uttar Pradesh. An unidentified bike rider died on the spot after being hit by a car.

According to eyewitnesses, a speeding car crashed violently into the motorcycle, tearing it apart. The rider fell onto the road and was crushed badly. After the collision, the car driver ran over the victim again and fled the scene with the vehicle. As soon as the incident was reported, the Madanpur police outpost in-charge and Dial 112 police team reached the location.

The police took the body into custody and sent it to the Mohammadabad Community Health Centre. The identity of the deceased has not been established yet. The damaged motorcycle was taken to the Madanpur police outpost with the help of an e-rickshaw. The WagonR car involved in the accident, which fled after the crash, was later intercepted near the Madanpur police outpost.

Eyewitness Billu Pal stated that the speeding car hit the bike with great force and, after the rider fell, the driver ran over him before escaping. He tried to stop the car, but it did not slow down. However, the vehicle was eventually caught.

The police are trying to identify the deceased and will proceed with further legal action after the post-mortem report. The entire accident is now under investigation.
