Delhi blast crackdown: Umar Nabi’s house demolished using IED in Pulwama
Srinagar (The Uttam Hindu): Following the car bomb blast near Delhi's Red Fort, security agencies have intensified the investigation and taken strict action. In this sequence, security forces completely demolished the Pulwama home of terrorist Dr. Umar Nabi, the main accused. According to officials, this operation was carried out secretly on the intervening night of Thursday and Friday.
Major action in Delhi blast case, terrorist Umar Nabi's house in Pulwama blown up with IED: Preliminary findings related to the incident have revealed that the Hyundai i20 car used in the blast was driven to Delhi by Umar Nabi the same night and was loaded with a large quantity of explosive material. The blast on Monday night shook the surrounding areas, killing 12 people and injuring many others. The condition of some of the injured is still reported to be critical.
Investigative agencies analyzed DNA samples obtained from the scene, which were later matched with samples taken from Omar's mother to confirm his identity. Security forces have since intensified searches in the area to locate Omar's possible whereabouts and contacts.
According to local sources, Umar Nabi was previously known as a talented and academically brilliant young man. He was reportedly considered an inspiration to the youth of his area, but over the past two years, a significant change in his behavior and ideology was observed. Investigating officials believe that during this period, he gradually came into contact with radical elements.
Security agencies are now working to determine where and how the attack was planned, and to identify the others involved. Raids are continuing on suspected locations in both the Valley and Delhi. Meanwhile, local authorities have appealed to the public to avoid rumors and cooperate with the investigation.
