Delhi Police cracks down on Goldy Brar gang, arrests two shooters in encounter
New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Following an encounter on Thursday morning on Jaitpur-Kalindi Kunj Road in Delhi, the Delhi Police Special Cell arrested two dangerous criminals from the organized gang of Rohit Godara, Goldy Brar, and Virendra Charan. The arrested suspects have been identified as Rahul (Panipat, Haryana) and Sahil (Bhiwani, Haryana). Both criminals were injured during the encounter and have been hospitalized for treatment.
According to police, Rahul was the main accused in the triple murder case that occurred in Yamunanagar, Haryana, in December 2024. He had been on the run for a long time, concealing his identity. The two criminals were acting at the behest of foreign-based gangsters Rohit Godara, Goldy Brar, and Virendra Charan. They were plotting to murder a social media influencer and had conducted reconnaissance of their targets in Mumbai and Bengaluru.
The Special Cell received intelligence that the two criminals were located on the Jaitpur-Kalindi Kunj Road. Police cordoned off the area and asked them to surrender, but they opened fire, prompting the Special Cell team to return fire. Rahul and Sahil were injured in the encounter. Police recovered the criminals' weapons and a motorcycle from the scene.
Police have registered several cases against the two men, including murder, attempted murder, and organized crime. The weapons and motorcycle seized from the scene are currently being examined. The Delhi Police have launched a search for other gang members and their network. This arrest is considered a major blow to the Goldy Brar gang.
