Delhi Police foil terror plot, arrest 5 terrorists with IED material

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Delhi Police has arrested five terrorists who were plotting to terrorize Delhi-NCR during the upcoming festive season. Police has arrested these terrorists from different states.

The police have also recovered some material used in making IEDs from them. News agency ANI quoted Delhi Police sources as saying that out of the arrested terrorists, two are from Delhi, one from Madhya Pradesh, one from Hyderabad and one from Ranchi.

It is noteworthy that earlier on Wednesday, the police had arrested two terrorists from Ranchi and Delhi. The arrested Ashraf Danish alias Ashar Danish and Aftab used to make Muslim youth Jihadis for the terrorist module Ghazwa-e-Hind and prepare them to carry out terrorist activities against the country.

There is evidence of his links with Pakistani terrorist organisations and intelligence agency ISI. On this basis, eight other suspects have also been detained, who are being questioned by the Special Cell, NIA and IB along with other central agencies.
