Girlfriend locks boyfriend inside a trunk for 45 minutes out of fear of aunt, police entry shocks all

Kanpur (The Uttam Hindu): A shocking and unusual incident has emerged from Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, leaving locals stunned. In the Chakeri police station area, a young woman took an extreme step to hide her boyfriend after their meeting was interrupted. Out of fear of family members, she locked her boyfriend inside a metal trunk, bolted it from outside, and kept him confined for nearly 45 minutes. The situation came to light only after the police arrived and forced the trunk to be opened, revealing the sweating and breathless young man. The incident has since become a major topic of discussion in the area.

Boyfriend arrived after seeing the house empty

The incident took place on Friday morning in a village under the Chakeri police station limits. According to information, the girl’s elder brother had gone out for work with a tractor, while her mother was on factory duty. Finding the house empty, the girl called her boyfriend over. Around 11:30 am, the young man reached her house on a bike. He reportedly lives in the same neighbourhood, just seven houses away from the girl’s residence.

Aunt’s arrival and the hidden truth

While the couple was inside the house, the girl’s aunt, who lives nearby, suddenly arrived. She heard a male voice coming from the room and knocked on the door. The frightened girl did not open it. Growing suspicious, the aunt called her son and tried again to get the door opened, but failed. Acting cautiously, she locked the main door from outside and immediately informed the girl’s mother and brother. The brother soon reached the house and also alerted the police.

Trunk suspected, police called

After the brother arrived and the room was opened, the family searched every corner of the house, but the boy was nowhere to be found. Soon, they heard sounds coming from a large trunk kept in the room and realised that the young man might be locked inside it. The family asked the girl for the key, but she refused and even argued with her aunt. Attempts to break the lock failed, forcing them to wait for the police.

Trunk opened, shocking scene unfolds

Around 12 noon, the police reached the spot. After scolding the girl, police made her open the lock. As soon as the trunk was opened, her boyfriend came out, leaving everyone shocked. Angry family members tried to assault the boy, but the police intervened and protected him. The girl’s family handed both the girl and her boyfriend over to the police and demanded strict action. Chakeri SHO Ajay Prakash Mishra stated that both are being questioned and further action will be taken based on the facts.
