Chief Minister Rekha Gupta offers prayers on Hanuman janmotsav, seeks prosperity for Delhi
New Delhi(The Uttam Hindu): Delhi Chief Minister Smt. Rekha Gupta on Thursday offered prayers on the occasion of Hanuman Janmotsav at the 108-ft Shri Sankat Mochan Dham temple in Karol Bagh, praying for the well-being, peace and prosperity of the people of Delhi. Taking part in the rituals, the Chief Minister joined devotees in reciting the Hanuman Chalisa with deep reverence. She also participated in the religious ceremony held at the temple premises and prayed for the progress and prosperity of both Delhi and the nation.
Speaking on the occasion, Gupta said Lord Hanuman’s life stands as a powerful symbol of service, dedication, courage and unwavering commitment. “His ideals continue to inspire us to serve society and the nation selflessly,” she said, adding that such sacred occasions help foster positive energy, unity and spiritual awareness in society.
Extending her greetings to the devotees, the Chief Minister said she hopes Lord Hanuman’s blessings bring lasting peace, happiness and prosperity to Delhi. She also urged citizens to promote harmony, cooperation and a spirit of service in their daily lives.
A large number of devotees, along with temple trust members and other dignitaries, were present at the event. Interacting with them, Gupta reiterated that the Delhi government remains committed to preserving the city’s cultural and spiritual heritage, and that such gatherings play an important role in strengthening social cohesion and positivity.
