New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has received major legal relief in cases related to the Enforcement Directorate (ED). A Delhi court has acquitted him in two cases filed by the ED concerning his alleged failure to appear before the agency in response to summons.

The court, while pronouncing its verdict, dismissed both cases and observed that the prosecution failed to establish the charges against Kejriwal. The cases were filed by the ED after Kejriwal did not appear before the agency following multiple summons.

It is noteworthy that Arvind Kejriwal had earlier challenged the ED summons, calling them politically motivated. He had argued that central investigative agencies were being misused to exert political pressure and that the summons lacked legal validity.

The court’s decision is being seen as a significant victory for Kejriwal and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). Party leaders welcomed the verdict, calling it a triumph of truth and justice. No official response has yet been issued by the Enforcement Directorate.
